Dr.
Vada E. Butcher served as the first female Dean of the Howard
University College of Fine Arts from 1972 to 1976 and from 1984 to 1991. A
much awarded graduate of Fisk University with a doctorate in Fine Arts
from the University of Chicago, Dr. Butcher has lectured widely and
presented numerous workshops and seminars. |

Dr. Clifford L. Muse, Jr., University
Archivist at Howard University, is a specialist in the development and history of the
University. He is co-author, with Thomas C. Battle, of Howard In Retrospect: Images of
the Capstone. Dr. Muse is a member of several archival organizations. |
